Le vendredi 29 juin, la conférence et le forum « Shapping Cameroon # 4IR » ont eu lieu à Yaoundé. La conférence a été l’occasion pour les entrepreneurs et les start-ups d’apprendre, de se rencontrer et de discuter des défis auxquels le Cameroun est confronté dans le contexte de la numérisation. Ce fut également l’occasion pour l’équipe de GoSat de rencontrer ces acteurs du développement du Cameroun et de voir quel rôle nous pouvons jouer pour aider les nouvelles entreprises à faire face aux défis du 21ème siècle.

Un événement crucial pour le développement du Cameroun

La 4ème révolution industrielle a déjà commencé dans la majorité des pays occidentaux. Il apporte de nombreuses opportunités économiques grâce au développement de nouvelles technologies telles que l’internet des objets, la chaîne de blocs, les nanotechnologies et la robotique (intelligence artificielle). Cependant, la majorité des pays africains, comme le Cameroun, sont à la traîne en matière de haute technologie. Il ralentit le développement de leur économie qui repose encore sur les secteurs primaire et des services. Mais le Cameroun prend une part plus importante dans la numérisation. De nombreuses start-ups et entrepreneurs apportent de nouveaux projets pour faire entrer le Cameroun dans la 4ème révolution industrielle. Mais le manque d’infrastructures et de financement ralentit leur développement. C’est pourquoi des événements tels que Shapping Cameroon sont si importants. Organisé par la communauté mondiale shapers, un réseau de jeunes et innovants à travers le monde, cet événement avait pour objectif de fournir aux entrepreneurs camerounais et de démarrer avec les bons outils et méthodes pour assurer le succès de leurs projets.

GoSat: acteur de l’intégration du Cameroun dans la 4ème révolution industrielle

Comme expliqué précédemment, la 4ème révolution industrielle est liée aux hautes technologies. Mais le manque de pénétration d’Internet au Cameroun est un obstacle pour de nombreux entrepreneurs.

Ils ont du mal à se développer s’ils ne sont pas situés dans les plus grandes villes du pays.
